Mentor or Coach: Which Works for You?

Workplace mentoring, training, and coaching each has its place, but they are very different.  In an article I recently wrote for the King County Bar Bulletin, I outlined one key difference: 

Mentors are guides who share their wisdom and connections with their mentees to help them navigate the workplace, develop their skills and achieve success. A coach helps the client achieve the same goals, but in a very different way: in coaching, the client and coach are partners and equals.
